In recent years we have become regular contributors to the Central Coast Farm & Ranch Magazine. As the unimaginative title indicates, it is a periodical for ranchers and farmers - a very sophisticated audience comprised of owners and managers of huge agricultural enterprises.
Our feature article for the Fall issue deals with the problem-plagued olive oil industry. Did you know some varieties of olive trees have been engineered to grow on grape arbors permitting harvesting to be done with grape harvesting equipment? While olive trees produce fruit annually, they only produce an abundant crop every other year. It is a dicey business.
