Southern California, November 22, 2007: Local Golden Retriever seeks psychiatric services for addiction to green polka dot bow. Dog is pictured here with her doggie psychiatrist who attempts to calm her. The main hurdle to treatment has been to get the dog to lie attentively on "the couch" so that psychiatric services can be conducted. Veterinary psychiatric services for obsessive-compulsive disorders such as addiction to balls, toys, frisbees, leashes, and expensive designer shoes is apparently very common according to this local practitioner, and is becoming a very lucrative career choice.

Meanwhile, over in Highland Park, another subject is in desperate need of psychiatric services for her addiction to Milkbones. Subject accosts neighbors every morning, screaming at the top of the decibel level until neighbors give her what she wants. Then, subject will hoard bones, growling and cursing at anyone and everyone to cross her path.
